Goodbye Party for Rahel!

Sweetie - I am going to miss you here in Toronto. You are just one day away and 'work' isn't the same than before! Take Care - and you know - next project will be Munich!!To realize a proper farewell party for Rahel we girls decided to rock the newest club in Town – CIRCA! CRAZY – that is all what I wanna to say about it!

German Christmas Market - Kitchener

I think we didn't eat till that point enough Christmas Cookies (sure) therefore we decided to visit the German Christmas Market in Kitchener to by Lebkuchen, Plätzchen, Bratwurst and of course Glühwein ;-) It doesn't seem so cold but we had around - 10 Degrees and we hat to heat us up. Even though it was just 5 pm I think it was the right excuse to get the Glühwein “IT IS SOOO COLD” ;-)I know I know – It doesn’t look like a real German Christmas Market but believe me you are happy to get the chance not to be the complete time outside at these temperatures!

The Disclosure

It is not easy for me to admit that I think I developed here in Canada a high addiction to ‘Tim Hortons’ – Coffee WHENEVER and WHEREEVER you want!!!

Korean - BBQ

Mhmh - it was so delicious the Korean BBQ with Lance - my Landlord to be official correct ;-) and Mario. Can you imagine how much meat I eat - I think it will last for the next year (This would be the right food for you Peter)!
Here can you see how it works - you are getting a lot variation of meat and than you can grill it by yourself on your table.

Afterwards I went to the Madison - a pub in the neighbourhood- to meet with Alexandra, my roommate!

Baking Session - It's Christmastime

I know, I know it is just November but after I the visited my mom it just feels like Christmastime. So the girls and I started with baking and drinking "Glühwein" - yes, real German one ;-) Mom you see - I really baked but I don't know jet if they taste good ;-)

Good old Germany

So I am finally back in Toronto and just realized that I hardly made any pictures during my one week 'surprise' vacation to Germany. Nevertheless it was great and I really enjoyed the time with my friends in Cologne and Augsburg - I just realized again how much I miss you! I am just sorry that this week was again so busy and that had not the chance to see you all or spend enough time with you! I have to post this picture - just to show my Canadian friends that I really had my first snow in Germany. It was soooooo cold!

Letter from me

My dear Friends,

Now it is already over 3 Months that I left Germany behind me but I am sure as the most of you already realized – I am not that successful with my trip as I hoped it will be. I think I realized that my Family and my Friends in Germany mean much more to me than I thought and that I can’t be really happy if they are not around me. Probably I need my homey environment more than I believed – but therefore the trip was successful just to realize what I need. Nevertheless it is a great experience to be here and as you can see on the photos I am having really a lot of fun and met a lot of interesting and great people. I really enjoy traveling in Canada and the US and seeing all that great cities.

Just for those who still wanna come and visit me here – do it quickly because I decided to reduce my stay here to maximum 6 months what would mean I will be back in Germany latest in February ;-)

So don’t forget me completely I am back in Germany sooner as you thought!!! Take care and stay in contact.

Thanksgiving Dinner @ Casa Kathy

To celebrate Thanksgiving, I invited af few Friends to my house (alias Casa Kathy) to cook together mexican food and just enjoy ourselves.... .... the ladies already started to get the vegies cuted for the Faijtas and Nachos....

After the 3-Course-Dinner, we enjoyed the - more ore less - last hot evening outsite in the patio, and by the way - just to make you jealous - we had 30 degrees ;-)
